Grave-Marking Ceremony -- Charles Yates

(L) Bill Simpson, Chapter Graves Registration Chairman, discussed the life and contributions of Charles Yates during the Revolutionary War. (C) President Bob Bowen officiated at the program,. (R) James Monroe Museum Director James Pearce discussed the significance of the Fredericksburg Masonic Cemetery. 

 

(L) Bill Simpson presents a memorial flag to Judge Joseph Savage, the closest living relative of Charles Yates. (R)Chaplain Jim Griffes offered the prayers. Thirty-seven chapter members and guests attended the graveside ceremony.


Bob, Susan and Lauren Bailey, Diane Nolan, and Dal Mallory provided a touch of class for the program in period clothing.
